Qatar Dhareeba and Tax Updates

In Qatar’s continuous efforts to achieve its digital transformation goal, the GTA has implemented the Dhareeba tax portal which provided taxpayers efficient tax services. Since it launched in 2020, there have been changes made to the portal as a result of new tax regulations. And with the tax filing deadline in April 2022 fast approaching, it is crucial that we are aware of these changes so that we identify our tax exposures and file the relevant returns correctly.

Further, tax rules continue to evolve globally and Qatar has been actively involved in updating its tax regulations in line with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) guidelines. Keeping abreast of the incoming tax rules will help us diagnose and bridge our processes and resource gaps and ensure correct and timely filings once these new laws are implemented.
